I was part of an ambitious project to redesign the app and web experiences of a growing startup in the freelance arena called Moonlighting. A top 5 ranked business app claiming to be the fastest way to hire or be hired. A mobile on-demand marketplace connecting people looking to work with people ready to hire.
To comply with my non-disclosure agreement, I have omitted and obfuscated confidential information in this case study. All information in this case study is my own and does not necessarily reflect the views of Moonlighting.

We wanted to connect with our audience visually.
We worked with local film companies to create commercials, online ads and radio spots to reach new users and expose the platform to the world. We gained enough traction in time to be ranked #5 in the Top Business Apps on the Apple Store.
I designed the reviewing system to be consistent between the app and web platforms. The app side had extensive if / then connection popup screens requiring a lot of wireframing and preplanning. Ultimately we provided the users with an engaging way to describe their experience with the other user and the app/website itself.
I created the look for the messaging system from the ground up and together with the team coded and styled the ui/ux. We then user tested the messaging system thoroughly to ensure a seemless transition between app and web.
I designed the profile system to me modular so you can display on the information you want someone to see. There are thorough account customization setting on the administration panels. User testing discovered less is more when it comes to profiles. Too much information kept the users from engaging with the profile. Too little and sloppy content provided the same results. A perfect balance of need to know information and attention to detail shined among the competition.
Much like the reviews system, Favorites allows the user to save and further engage at a later time the people they worked with in the past and that have been helpful to them on the platform. The app rely’s a bit heavier on this feature than the web.
I designed and developed landing pages for internal team purposes, the sales team to drive user conversions / promotions and for partners of the brand (USA Today, Verizon, Inc., The Wall Street Journal and many more.) to drive users to our platform from their own networks.
Process usually goes wireframe the intial idea, design the concept, internal reviews / changes, chop it up and develop out the page in HTML 5 / CSS3 / JS / Jquery.
